Neatlio support

Choose a folder and scan

Open Settings and add a folder using the macOS folder picker, then start a scan. Access is limited by the folders you authorize and macOS permissions. Some protected locations may remain unavailable. Neatlio does not need an administrator password to perform its supported cleanup.

Review before processing

Scanning is read-only. Select the items you want to process, inspect the confirmation list, then choose Move to Trash. Large files are your files and are not automatically classified as disposable.

A file was kept or skipped

Check the reason shown in the result. The target may have changed, its app may be running, or access may be unavailable. Quit the related app or authorize the original folder again when appropriate, then scan again. Neatlio keeps items when it cannot verify that processing is allowed.

Recover an item

Find its original folder in History, then drag the file from macOS Trash back to that folder. The record itself is not an undo command. Finder's Put Back command may point to an intermediate folder, so use the original path in Neatlio's record. Recovery requires that the item is still in Trash.

Why did free space not increase?

Files moved to Trash still occupy disk space. Reported file sizes are estimates and do not guarantee the same change in available disk space. Neatlio does not empty Trash.

Trial and one-time unlock

The free download allows scanning and viewing results. The 7-day cleaning trial starts when you actively choose it and complete Apple's trial transaction. It does not automatically charge or renew. After it ends, scanning and viewing results remain available; continued cleaning requires the one-time in-app purchase. The app displays the current local price. Choose Restore Purchases for purchases made with the appropriate Apple Account. Restoring a trial uses its original start time.
